After months of pain, I had an MRI scan which showed I had severe dehydration and desiccation of my lumbar spine. The damage was done and irreversible. I was devastated to say the least. Since then, I have had a mixed relationship with exercise. When my back isn’t so sore, I feel invincible but as soon as it starts to ache again, I can’t keep up in exercise classes and as a result, I am left feeling miserable.
Nevertheless, I want to stay fit and am always on the lookout for new exercises to try which don’t leave me in agony. So, when I was invited by the ‘MK Blogger Network’ to attend a Yoga & Meditation class at the ‘Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio’ in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, I jumped at the chance.
Now, I must admit that I have dabbled in Yoga & Meditation before. My past experiences had left me feeling pretty good but not spectacular. However, after just 45 minutes of gentle yoga and meditation, I felt blissful. My body felt relaxed and my mind can only be described as calm. Oh, and my back had stopped aching!
After the session, we debriefed and refuelled ourselves with some delicious chocolate delights and ‘Peel Juice Bar’Juices.
I enjoyed my time at Whitespace Studios so much that I am currently considering cancelling my gym membership. Yes, seriously! Whitespace Studios offers a wide range of class pricing (New Client Special – 14 Days Unlimited Classes for £20) & membership (12 Month Membership for £39). I am thinking of trying their 4-hour Introduction Course to Yoga for £59 (value £89).
