This is a full Pilates teaching qualification. The course includes your Level 2 and Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology coursework and should take around 3-6 months to complete. It is designed so that you can make progress at your own pace. But here is an example timeline based on the average student.
Register for the course and gain immediate access to your learning content! We will personally follow up to welcome you and complete your registration.
Start exploring the first modules, which cover anatomy and physiology. We recommend spreading your studies over 4-6 weeks to keep things fun and manageable, so you don’t feel overwhelmed.
Attend your 6 in-person practical days. During this time you will learn the principles of mat pilates including class planning, teaching practice, modifications and adaptations, and postural assessments.
Begin working on your assessment worksheets. Develop a progressive class plan for a student and demonstrate that you understand Pilates principles. You will also practice for your practical assessment.
Schedule your practical assessment. You will also complete your learner portfolio and submit it for external assessment.
You did it! We are thrilled to announce that you’ve successfully completed your Level 3 Pilates qualification. You will receive both a digital and hard copy of your certificate, showcasing your achievement and readiness to inspire others in Pilates. This is just the beginning of your exciting journey!

Highly recommend Neil and his team at the London Pilates Academy. The quality of the training is excellent and the support is brilliant. A great mixture of courses as well as workshops available in a lovely studio setting with high quality equipment.
The LPA Team is very knowledgeable, professional, positive, fun and engaging. They challenge and motivate each student while focusing on the fundamentals of the Classical Mat Pilates, and fully explain the key steps and target goal. I am grateful for their teaching and instructions inside the studio, but also outside, online. They are very responsive in queries via email and phone too.
I can’t recommend London Pilates Academy enough. Every touchpoint with them, whether it’s the online learning platform, the in person days or just emailing for help throughout has been brilliant. Neil is incredibly knowledgeable and made the content easy to understand throughout.
I absolutely loved the level 3 mat pilates course. Since qualifying the main client feedback I have received is how many different options are offered to them which is all thanks to the in depth training at LPA where they recognise that different bodies need different things.

Yes. The course is accredited by CIMSPA and backed by YMCA Awards. Unless your potential employer has a specific certification requirement, the course will be recognised.
It’s fairly safe to say that none of us enjoy undertaking assessments. However, to have a more robust certification, we must have a fair and transparent process of assessing the learner’s knowledge. We have both a multiple choice theory assessment and practical teaching assessment attached to the comprehensive training.
We aim to give instant feedback. This Level 3 course is awarded by YMCA Awards, and the extensive internal and external verification process can take time.
Course days start at 9am and finish at 5pm
The online modules take around 8 hours to complete, so we suggest spreading these out over 3-4 weeks prior to the first day of class.
Check the course days before you book and make sure you’re available for all course days. If you have a special circumstance, please contact us before booking.
