Our studio is ‘Covid Safe’. While the app is mainly for situations where people are not observing the 2m social distancing, we still want to play our part in the being responsible and stay safe.
We’re so happy to welcome you back in our studio! We don’t just have a studio full of clients… We have a studio full of friends. We know your birthday (and love to celebrate it), your story and why you show up each and every day to be your best. We know you.
And, when we sat down and wrote our plan for reopening we did this with you in mind. That’s what friends do. As we welcome you back home, the most important thing right now is:
Your Safety. Your Health. Your Future.
THE STUDIO PLAN
There have been a few changes since you’ve been in last, all designed to keep you, our team and our greater community safe, sound and healthy.
We’ll be saying hello from 2m+ away and maintaining social distancing with contactless check-in. While we can’t hang together inside the studio, our outdoor space is the perfect place to commune.
We’ve always been known as the cleanest studio in town, but now we’ve stepped up our game (and our cleaning supplies). We’re constantly sanitising our busiest spots and making sure that your space is freshly disinfected and cleaned before you walk in the door.
Everyone will wash or sanitise their hands on arrival. Please wear a mask when walking around the building, and pop this in your bag or somewhere on your mat during class for hygiene reasons. We may not be able to see your smile on arrival, but trust me, we’re know you’re happy to be back.
We’re limiting the number of clients in each studio – going over and above the government’s advice. This means there will be a space ready and waiting for you with zero concerns about being on top of your neighbour.
OUR INTENSIFIED CLEANING PROTOCOLS
We’ve always taken cleanliness seriously, but now we’re even more focused on it. Here’s what you can expect to happen behind the scenes at our studio:
We’re following the government guidelines and using disinfectant thats proven to kill viruses such as Covid-19.
Our changing area will be closed to reduce contact, so come dressed ready to practice. Only bring what you need for class and keep anything else at home or locked safely in boot of your car.
Throughout the day we’re sanitising high touch areas such as light switches, door handles and knobs, bathrooms, rails and more. Our staff has gone through an intensive training to ensure they know exactly what to clean and how to do it.
We’re making space for cleaning between sessions to ensure that we have time to properly sanitise and disinfect so that it’s ready for you. We’ll be doing top to bottom studio cleans daily on top of this so that every nook and cranny is spotless.
BEFORE THE DOORS OPEN
We’re checking every team member’s temperature before their shift begins. If it’s elevated, they’ll be heading home and we’ll be following our protocols to ensure your session happens as planned.
We’re asking all clients to self monitor for symptoms. If you’re not feeling well, don’t worry. Just let us know and we’ll cancel your session on the house.
If you’ve been sick, please wait 72 hours after you’ve stopped running a fever without the use of fever reducing medicine before coming back to the studio.
Our spots are limited as we have lots of clients ready to come to class. Unless you’re sick, please cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance to make sure your spot can be offered to someone else.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
We’ll be providing checkin directions that are “no touch”. Our staff is limited so this process will likely look different than usual, but we’ll make sure all are accounted for. Whitespace is registered with the NHS Test and Trace scheme and our QR code is prominently displayed on our notice board.
We’ve provided marked spots in the studio so you’ll know where to stand socially distanced while you’re waiting your turn.
IN THE STUDIO
We’re limiting the number of clients in the studio – going over and above government guidance. This means there will be a space ready and waiting for you with zero concerns about being on top of your neighbour.
We’ve eliminated studio mats and props for rent or borrow. We have mats and props available for purchase in the studio or you can bring some from home. We do recommend also bringing a blanket.
There will be no hands on adjustments as we stay a loving 2m+ apart from our clients.
Our doors will be closed when a session starts. Please be on time to avoid missing out.
Our classes will nurture you in the safest way, with no more than a moderate tempo and gentle breathing to help you feel calm, balanced and nourished.
Thank you for bearing with us. We know change can be difficult and unsettling, but we’ve got everything covered for you. Let’s support each other as we travel towards our ‘new norm’ together.
If you have any questions you’d like to chat through with us before coming along to class, do just drop us a line and we’d be happy to help.
